Coastals Lifelong Learning offers 34 art courses this fall

Coastal Carolina Universitys Lifelong Learning program will offer a variety of noncredit art courses at the three higher education centers in Myrtle Beach, Waccamaw and Georgetown this fall.

Award-winning artists in a variety of media share their expertise in conceptual studies (perspective, painting composition, interpretations of masterpieces and the spiritual path to creativity through the methodology of The Artists Way), as well as hands-on instruction in the fundamentals of drawing and beginning watercolor. More advanced courses are offered in pastel portraiture of people, pets, flowers and beachscapes, caricature sketching, Sumi-e Chinese watercolor brush painting and intermediate watercolor. Additional courses in batik, bead-making, bookmaking, collage, dollmaking, fiber art, gems and jewelry, stained glass, water fountains and woodcarving are also available.
