Coastal hosts FBI speaker on intelligence reform and politics

Former FBI administrator Wilson Lowery will speak at Coastal Carolina University on the topic of " Intelligence Reform and Political Realities" in a public forum on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. in Wall Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

From 2002 to 2005, Lowery served as the executive assistant director of administration for the FBI, where he was responsible for financial management, accounting, human resources, administration, internal security, operations, computer development and reengineering.

Prior to the FBI, Lowery worked for IBM for 30 years serving in many executive positions, including vice president and senior managing director of finance and planning for Asia Pacific, vice president of quality and reengineering, chair of IBM Credit Corporation and general manager of global financing.

He earned a bachelor's degree in finance and an MBA from the University of North Carolina.

Lowery serves on the advisory committee for the Government Accountability Office and lives with his wife Pat in Georgetown. The event is sponsored by Coastal's E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration. For more information contact 349-2640.
