Pianist Kindt will perform Oct. 23 at Coastal Carolina
The program will include music from composers such as Schumann, Scarlatti, Debussy and Liszt.
Kindt has performed throughout the United States with symphony orchestras and as a recitalist. He has participated in NET television concerts on the “Young Musical Artists” series. Kindt has served as a visiting professor of piano at the Schenyang Conservatory of Music in China where he performed the Tchaikovsky First Piano Concerto with the Liaoning Provincial Symphony.
He graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music and holds a master’s degree in performance from The Juilliard School. He received his doctorate in musical arts from the University of Michigan.
Kindt lives with his family in Boone, N.C., and is a professor emeritus of piano at Appalachian State University, where he received the ASU Alumni Association’s Outstanding Teaching Award in 1994.
