Coastal Carolina hosts San Francisco performance poet

San Francisco-based performance poet and literary magazine editor Daphne Gottlieb will read from her work on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 4:30 p.m. in Wall Auditorium at Coastal Carolina University. The event is free and open to the public.

The reading is part of the Gender Trouble: A Woman’s and Gender Studies Artist Series, sponsored by the Women's and Gender Studies Program and the Office of Student Activities.

Gottlieb, author of “Final Girl,” “Why Things Burn” and “Pelt,” is the poetry editor of Lodestar Quarterly and Other Magazine, both online literary magazines. She reads her poetry and teaches creative writing workshops around the country for high schools, colleges and community centers. She earned her master’s degree from Mills College in Oakland, Calif.
