CCU professors to discuss The Ethics of War

Coastal Carolina University professors Jack Riley and Michael Ruse will lead a discussion on The Ethics of War as part of the universitys Tea and Ethics series. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place Thursday, Nov. 10 at 4:30 p.m. in room 249 of Coastals Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts. The event will also be presented Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. in the Waccamaw Center for Higher Education in Litchfield. Complimentary tea will be served.

Jack Riley is an associate professor of politics at Coastal. Michael Ruse is an associate professor of philosophy.

The event is sponsored by Coastals Jackson Family Center for Ethics and Values. The purpose of the center is to cultivate and promote awareness in students of the importance of personal and professional integrity. The center will sponsor scholarships and visiting scholars as well as public discussion forums on ethical issues in science, business, education, and the arts and humanities.
