Football to hold annual Teal and White Spring Game

March 17, 2006

Coastal Carolina University’s football program will hold its fourth annual Teal and White spring game on Saturday, April 1 at 12:30 p.m. in Brooks Stadium. Admission is $5.

The contest is a culmination of spring practice for the Chanticleers, who enter their fourth year of competition in the fall of 2006. During the Teal and White game, each player in the program will be placed on the Teal or White team before the two sides battle in a controlled scrimmage.

Coastal football has finished its first three years with an overall record of 25-8. The team has captured back-to-back Big South Conference championships and ascended into the top 10 of several national rankings in 2005 after shocking No. 1-ranked and defending national champion James Madison. The Chanticleers, who return 19 starters from last year’s 9-2 team, will play non-conference schools Wofford College, Georgia Southern University, South Carolina State University and Furman University before beginning their Big South schedule.
