Ron Day

Ron Day has been appointed director of the Office of Financial Aid at Coastal Carolina University.

As director, Day oversees the university's financial aid operations. He supervises the associate director of Client Services, the senior compliance officer and the associate director of Operations and Systems Development. Day also serves as a resource person to institutional, community, civic and professional groups regarding financial aid programs and services and coordinates all Financial Aid presentations and high school workshops.

Day has 23 years of experience working as a financial aid director at Birmingham Southern College in Birmingham, Ala., and the following schools in Georgia: Shorter College, LaGrange College and Reinhardt College. He earned a bachelor's degree in religion and philosophy from the University of Mobile in Mobile, Ala., and a master's of religious education at Southern Seminary in Louisville, Ky. For the last year, Day has worked as an independent financial aid consultant assisting institutions during times of crisis. His last assignment was assisting Tulane University after Hurricane Katrina.
