Noted poet Jennifer Grotz will give a reading from her work on Thursday, Nov. 9 at Coastal Carolina University as part of "The Words to Say It: A Visiting Writers Series."
The reading, which is free and open to the public, will be at 4:30 p.m. in Wall Auditorium. A book signing and reception will follow, and her books will be available for sale.
Grotz is author of the chapbook "Not Body" and "Cusp," a collection of
poetry. "Cusp" earned her the Bakeless Prize from the Bread Loaf Writers'
Conference in 2003.
Her poems and translations have appeared in journals and magazines such as the Kenyon Review, New England Review, Ploughshares, TriQuarterly and Best American Poetry 2000. Her essays and reviews have appeared in Boston Review, Virginia Quarterly Review and Gulf Coast.
She is a member of the faculty at UNC Greensboro and teaches in the
Warren Wilson MFA Program. She is the assistant director of the Bread Loaf
Writers' Conference.
