The Division of Extended Learning and Public Services at
Coastal
Carolina University provides a variety of learning opportunities for
individuals of all ages. A free catalog which provides course
information for the spring 2001 semester is now available. Courses are
offered through the following programs:
The Lifelong Learning Society is a membership program providing
education for mature adults. Courses are held at several locations
throughout the Grand Strand and most classes are held during the day.
� Credit learning opportunities are available in the Bachelor of Arts
in Interdisciplinary Studies (BAIS) degree program and distance
learning programs.
� Leisure Learning, personal development courses offered on topics such
as music, art and foreign languages.
� Professional Development and Certification courses assist individuals
in workplace advancement.
� The Electronic Campus is an affiliation of more than 200 southeastern
colleges and universities which offer on-line courses.
� Coastal Youth Academy provides academic enhancement for middle-school
age children.
� Special events and travel opportunities are offered throughout the
year.
Registration is now open for spring 2001 classes, which begin in
January and February at four locations: on Coastal�s Conway campus, at
Webster University, Myrtle Square Mall and the Hampton Inn at Broadway
at the Beach. Many evening classes are scheduled.
