CCU's Board of Trustees meets to consider candidates

Coastal Carolina University's Board of Trustees will meet this week to interview and consider the five finalists for the position of president of the university. The board will interview each candidate on Thursday, Jan. 11, beginning at 8:45 a.m. On Friday during its regular meeting, the board is expected to vote to offer the job to one of the finalists.

The meeting is at 9 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 12 in the Wall Boardroom.

The finalists are: Kyle R. Carter, Ph.D., provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at Western Carolina University; David A. DeCenzo, Ph.D., provost and senior vice president of academic administration at Coastal; Edgar Dyer, Ph.D., university counsel and vice president of university relations at Coastal; Sue DeWine, Ph.D., provost of Marietta College; and Maurice William Scherrens, Ed.D., senior vice president at George Mason University.
