Coastal announces student leader positions for 2007-2008

New student leader positions have been announced for the 2007-2008 academic year at Coastal Carolina University.

These positions in the Office of Student Activities and Leadership include Student Government Association (SGA), student media, Coastal Productions and Students Taking Active Responsibility (STAR).

The following students have been elected as SGA officers:

* Lauren Brajer, a senior English major, of Landing, N.J. - president

* Samantha "Sam" LeClair, a senior communication major of Hooksett, N.H.- vice president of public relations

* Sean Clemmensen, a senior education major of Myrtle Beach - vice president of policy

* Chelsea Trimper, a junior marine science major of Ocean City, Md. - vice president of finance The following students have been selected for student media positions with The Chanticleer, Coastal's student newspaper; Tempo, Coastal's student feature magazine; and Archarios, the student literary art/publication

* Caroline P. Smith, a senior English major of Stafford, Va. - editor, The Chanticleer

* Megan Duvall, a senior communication major of Arnold, Md. - assistant editor, The Chanticleer

* Yaw Odame, a senior graphics design major of Conway - art director, The Chanticleer

* Marty Keiser, a senior marketing major of Fairfield, Conn. - business manager, The Chanticleer

* Stephanie Hutto, a senior physical education major of Myrtle Beach - editor, Tempo magazine

* Lauren Formalarie, a senior resort tourism management major of Belchertown, Mass. - assistant editor, Tempo magazine

* Rob Byrd, a senior art studio major, of Cincinnati, Ohio - art director, Tempo magazine

* Megan Fisher, a senior English major of Caledonia, Ohio - editor, Archarios

* Jeremy Alford, a senior art studio major of Conway - art director, Archarios

Officers for Coastal Productions include:

* Quinnesha Winters, a junior biology major of Columbia - coordinator

* Damian Hollar, a sophomore resort tourism management major of Everett, Pa. - assistant coordinator

* Krystin Aldridge, a junior management major of Mechanicsville, Md. - special events chair

* Trevor Arrowood, a junior communication major of Rutherford, N.C. - special events chair

* Kevin Wiley, a senior marketing major of Beaufort - entertainment music chair

Students serving in leadership roles for the Students Taking Active Responsibility (STAR) organization include:

* Jennifer Regan, a senior health promotion major of Warwick, N.Y. - co-coordinator

* Todd Harwell, a junior a marine science major of Canton, Ga. - co-coordinator
