Associate Provost named at Coastal Carolina University
Her duties will include assisting faculty and staff with assessing student learning outcomes for accountability and continuous improvement, along with developing an assessment plan for the university. She will also work closely with Institutional Research that collects on-campus data.
Buckner joined the Coastal faculty in 2005. She was previously associate dean of the Spadoni College of Education from 2005 to this new appointment. Before coming to Coastal, she was interim associate dean of the College of Education and Human Services at Longwood University in Farmville, Va.
She earned a Ed.D. in reading and language arts from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a master's degree in science education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Ohio State University.
