Coastal presents Third Annual Spectrum Concert

Coastal Carolina University's bands and chamber ensembles will present the Third Annual Spectrum Concert for Coastal's upcoming Family Weekend, on Friday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public, but tickets are required.

Tickets can be picked up between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Wheelwright Box Office or one hour prior to the concert.

CCU instrumental groups performing in the concert include: the Saxophone Ensemble and Jazz After Hours directed by Dan O'Reilly; the Coastal Flute Choir directed by Amy Tully; STRYKE Taiko Drum Ensemble, World music Ensemble and Grand Strand Pans, directed by Kurry Seymour; the Guitar Quartet directed by Dan Hull; and the Symphonic Band and the Brass Choir directed by Jim Tully.

More that 250 students have performed in CCU ensembles in more than 50 venues since the university band program was established in 2000.
