RAUCH NAMED VEREEN BUSINESS CHAIR

Dennis Rauch, professor of marketing in the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University, has been named the Colonel Lindsey H. Vereen Endowed Business Chair.

The holder of the business chair is selected according to such characteristics as character, teaching ability, and intellectual contribution. As business chair, Rauch will work closely with the dean of the College and the Board of Visitors to further the mission of the Wall College of Business and Coastal.

The chair was established in 2000 by Vivian Vereen in memory of her late husband. Rauch is the first holder of the chair.

Vereen, who died in June 1995, was a member of the Coastal faculty, serving as assistant professor of business administration from 1966 to 1977.

Rauch, who joined the Coastal faculty in 1987, earned a bachelor’s degree and MBA from Western Illinois University and a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa.
