Original musical 'Tell me' explores storytelling

"Tell me," a student-written and produced play, opens at Coastal Carolina University on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Edwards Theater of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts. It is open and free to the public, but tickets are required.

Presented by the Second Stage Season, the original musical will be presented nightly at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 17 to 19 and at 3 p.m. Oct. 19 and 21. Tickets may be picked up at the Wheelwright Box Office Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. or prior to the performance.

"Tell Me," written by senior theater major Bryan Robinson, who also directs the play, is an exploration of stories and storytelling. This musical follows six people and depicts instances in their lives that define them.

Other student cast members are Trey Gerald, Meagan Perry, Townsend Pass, Caitlyn Pollock, Hannah Barton and Jason Wiggins.

"The stories that we have make us who we are," says Robinson. "In the same way, the way we tell our stories also tells a lot about who we are."
