Native American dancer/storyteller Larry Yazzie will perform Monday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Recital Hall in the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts at Coastal Carolina University. The event is free and open to the public.

Yazzie's program, "Native Pride Dancer," will be portrayed through dancing and storytelling. A World Champion Fancy Dancer, he was raised on the Meskwaki Indian Settlement in Central Iowa and began dancing at the age of seven. He consistently takes top honors at American Indian powwows throughout the United States and Canada.

As a dancer and singer, Yazzie has performed throughout the world. His current solo show, "Native Pride Dancer," balances entertainment with education and features the high-energy Fancy Dance.

The performance is sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Student Services. For more information call 349-2863.
