Three earn promotions at Coastal

Stacie Bowie has been appointed assistant vice president for business affairs. In this capacity she oversees the university's financial services including budgeting, accounting, campus payment services, receivables and procurement. Bowie earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Maryland, University College and is pursuing an M.B.A. at CCU. She is a licensed C.P.A. in the state of Maryland.

Kim Sherfesee has been promoted to assistant vice president for human resources. She is responsible for the university's classification and compensation systems as well as overseeing employment and personnel records. She earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Denison University and has worked in the human resources field for 17 years, including 11 at Coastal. Sherfesee is past president of the Coastal Organization of Human Resources and is a graduate of Leadership Grand Strand.

Sandy Williams has been named director of facilities planning and management. She monitors facilities operations, including maintenance, building, grounds, transportation services, project management and space utilization. She also establishes and implements policies regarding all aspects of capital improvements and campus development. Williams earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Delaware.
