Pop 101 concert at CCU will showcase '70s music

Pop 101, Coastal Carolina University's contemporary music ensemble, will present "Sounds of the '70s," a concert highlighting music from the 1970s, on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium.

General admission is $8. Admission for alumni, senior citizens and Lifelong Learning members is $6; children 18 and under are free. Tickets for the performance may be picked up from Wheelwright Box Office Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. or prior to the performance.

The student vocal ensemble will perform hits by Earth Wind and Fire, the Doobie Brothers, Queen, Led Zeppelin, the Bee Gees and other top acts of the 1970s. A new addition to the group this year is a full horn section.

The doors will open at 7 p.m. for a pre-show, "Guess the Faces of the '70s."
