The Sankofa African-American Museum on Wheels will be
displayed at
Coastal Carolina University on February 20 and 21 in Wall Auditorium.
The museum, which is free and open to the public, will be available
Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 21 from
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The exhibit of collector Angela Jennings-Smalls traces African-
American history from 1860 to the present. Included in the exhibit are
items such as sweet grass baskets, a Martin Luther King Jr. stamp
collection, Duke Ellington memorabilia, African masks and headdresses
and items invented by African-Americans.
