Omicron Delta Kappa announces 2007 inductees

Coastal Carolina University's circle of the national leadership honor society, Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), has selected 25 new members as part of its fall 2007 class.

David A. DeCenzo, CCU president, was the 26th new member as an honorary inductee.

ODK was founded in 1914 at Washington Lee University in Virginia. Membership is by invitation and awarded to undergraduate juniors and seniors and graduate students whose grade point average is in the upper thirty-fifth percentile of their class. In addition to this requirement students must have shown leadership in at least one of the following phases of student life including: scholarship, athletics, campus or community service, social or religious activities, campus governments, journalism, speech, mass media, and creative or performing arts.

Coastal's circle organizes the sale of honor stoles for graduation, a membership and induction ceremony each semester, assists with the Celebration of Inquiry conference and supports the National Convention of ODK.

The new junior members include:

* Tobias Lee Banks, a biology major from Galivants Ferry

* Leah M. Biango, a biology major from Myrtle Beach

* Erica Lynn Bolin, an elementary education major from Clover

* Nikki Reed Brawley, an early childhood education major from Union

* Haley Morgan Carter, a biology major from Florence

* Dana Marie DeLabar, a psychology major from Myrtle Beach

* Heather Elizabeth Eurell, a communication major from Myrtle Beach

* Kelsey Ann Fall, a marine science major from Wexford, Pa.

* Lindsay Michelle Fertig, an accounting and resort tourism major from Arnold, Md.

* Kevin James Gilbert, a finance major from Myrtle Beach

* Gwenn Elizabeth McCoy, a special education major from Harrisburg, Pa.

* Amanda Caitlin Przybylowski, a special education major from New Cumberland, Pa.

* Chelsea Lauren Trimper, a marine science major from Ocean City, Md.

* Jennifer M. Worthington, a health promotion major from Conway

The new senior members include:

* Shanna Denise Aughinbaugh, an early childhood education major from Myrtle Beach

* Megan Garnet Fisher, an English major from Caledonia, Ohio

* Lauren Melody Formalarie, a communication major from Belchertown, Mass.

* Katie Harcum Hinson, a business management major from Myrtle Beach

* Cherree Lanae Knox, a health promotion major from Atlanta, Ga.

* Blair Gordon Paul, a biology major from Queenston, Ontario

* Stephanie Suzanne Rimer, an early childhood education major from Mullins

* Ashton Meghan Williams, a psychology major from Wagener

* Madeleine G. Winstead, a marketing major from Charleston

* Serrina Delilah Young, a psychology major from Myrtle Beach
