Gettysburg documentary screening at Litchfield center

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Coastal Carolina University will present a screening of the memorial documentary, "Remember the Battle of Gettysburg," on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. at the Waccamaw Higher Education Center in Litchfield. The event is free and open to the public, but reservations are required. Call 349-4030.

Produced by historian Rod Gragg and cinematographer David Parker, director of Coastal Carolina University's Department of Media Services, the film depicts the drama and heroism of the great Civil War battle at Gettysburg. Gragg and Parker made the film as part of an annual series honoring veterans. Their previous documentaries, "D-Day Remembered" and "Remember Pearl Harbor," also premiered at Coastal and were co-produced by Coastal's Department of Media Services.

The film will also be shown at Wheelwright Auditorium on Sunday, March 16 at 3 p.m.
