Nunsense,
the international hit musical, will be presented by
Coastal Carolina University Theater as part of the university's
Cultural Arts Series on Friday, March 2 and Saturday, March 3 at 7:30
p.m. and on Sunday, March 4 at 3 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students under the age of 18.
Nunsense is a fundraiser organized by the Little Sisters of
Hoboken to raise money to bury the sisters who were accidentally
poisoned by the convent cook, Sister Julia (Child of God). The play won
four Outer Critics Circle Awards including Best Off-Broadway Musical.
The Little Sisters are played by Coastal students Abby Brown,
Kristen Pino, Jessica Petit, Lindy Studds and Patty Verzella.
The production is directed by Brian Vernon, assistant professor of
dance, choreography and musical theater. The sets and lights are by
Tymberley Wittrig, assistant professor of theater. Bill Hamilton,
associate professor of music, is the musical director for the
production.
