CCU announces organizational changes at Wall College
"Wall College continues to experience dynamic growth in students, programs and quality reputation regionally and internationally," said Henry Lowenstein, dean of the Wall College of Business. "These organizational enhancements will help us better serve students and the community and position us for further growth.
Ned Cohen has been named to the new position of Assistant Dean for Leadership and Corporate Development. Darla Domke-Damonte has been named Assistant Dean for International Programs, and Don Brook has been named Director of the Wall Center for Excellence.
Cohen was previously director and founder of Coastal's Wall Center of Excellence and director of the Wall Fellows program since 2005. He will oversee several of the Wall College's premier programs including the Wall Fellows program, the new Rolls-Royce Scholars program, TPJ Brown Entrepreneurship Scholars program, and the Wall Entrepreneurship Institute. Cohen joined the CCU faculty in 2004 after a career in the private sector in marketing, human resources, leadership development, and recruiting and training development for such companies as AT&T, MCI and Citigroup. Cohen earned a bachelor's degree in speech, education and history from Rockford College and a certificate in human resources executive development from the University of Michigan.
Domke-Damonte, who has served as international programs coordinator for the Wall College since 2001, will continue to be responsible for the development of international programs for the Wall College. She is an associate professor of management and has been instrumental in establishing double-degree and exchange programs with universities abroad. She is also coordinator of strategic planning at Coastal. Domke-Damonte earned a bachelor's degree from the American University, with a double major in Russian/USSR area studies and foreign language/communication media. She received a master's degree in international business from the University of South Carolina and a doctorate in strategic management from Florida State University. She joined the Coastal faculty in 1998.
Brook was previously associate director of the Wall Center for Excellence. As director he will focus on assisting Wall College students in career exploration, development and placement. Brook joined Coastal in 1997 as chief of Public Safety and adjunct professor in the college of business. He earned a master's degree from Central Michigan University and a doctorate from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Prior to joining Coastal, Brook had 26 years of senior law enforcement experience retiring as deputy chief of police for a municipality in Michigan.
The E. Craig Wall College of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB International-The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The Wall College's Professional Golf Management (PGM) program is one of only 19 in the nation accredited by the PGA of America.
