Coastal Carolina University music professors Patti Edwards, Dan Hull and Amy Tully will perform "An Evening of Chamber Music" on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. at Coastal's Waccamaw Higher Education Center in Litchfield. The event is free and open to the public.

This is the fourth event in Coastal's "I'm Glad You Asked" dialogue series, sponsored by the Board of Visitors of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts.

The production will feature music for the flute, guitar and voice. The professors will perform works by Dominic Argento, Henry Cowell, Jacques Ibert, Johann Sebastian Bach, Astor Piazolla, and the famous "Bachianas Brasilieras" by Heitor Villa Lobos. Each piece will be presented with relevant historical and musical information.

Edwards, a native of Georgetown, graduated from Mars Hill College with a bachelor's degree in music education. She earned a master's degree in vocal performance and a master's in vocal chamber music from Saint Louis Conservatory. She recently completed her doctoral studies at the University of North Texas, and has been invited to teach and perform in the Czech Republic in March.

Hull, teaching associate in guitar and music theory, earned a bachelor's degree in guitar performance from Illinois State University, a master's in music and a doctorate in musical arts from Eastman School of Music. Hull has performed nationally, as well as in Europe and the Caribbean.

She earned a doctorate in flute performance from the University of South Carolina, a master's degree in musicology from Northwestern University and a bachelor's degree in flute performance from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
