The Adande Drum and Dance Company

Coastal Carolina University presents a performance by the Adande Drum and Dance Company on Tuesday, March 4 at 7 p.m. in the Wall Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

The Adande company is a professional group of African-American drummers and dancers whose performers blend history and entertainment. The company's lively music is produced by chanting and drumming and provides the structure, rhythm and energy for this distinctive art form. Known for their enthusiasm and spontaneity, the 20-plus members of Adande use sound and movement to create performances of high artistry and sophistication. The company is directed by Jesse Thrower Jr.
