'Remember Gettysburg' screening to be held at CCU

February 25, 2008

A screening of the memorial documentary, "Remember the Battle of Gettysburg," will be presented Sunday, March 16, at 3 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium at Coastal Carolina University. The movie is free and open to the public, but tickets are required.

Produced by historian Rod Gragg and cinematographer David Parker, director of Coastal's Department of Media Services, the film depicts the drama and heroism of the great Civil War battle at Gettysburg. Gragg and Parker made the film as part of an annual series honoring veterans. Their previous documentaries, "D-Day Remembered" and "Remember Pearl Harbor," also premiered at Coastal and were co-produced by Coastal's Department of Media Services.

Sponsored by Goldfinch Funeral Services, the screening is free with a ticket, which can be picked up in advance at Wheelwright Auditorium (349-2502) or at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute in the Foundation Center on U.S. 501 (349-4001) or at the Waccamaw Higher Education Center in Litchfield (349-4032).
