CCU names Hart acting assistant vp for student affairs

Haven Hart of Myrtle Beach has been named acting assistant vice president for student affairs at Coastal Carolina University. Her primary responsibilities include coordinating the judicial system and managing responses to student conduct issues, as well as providing supervision and leadership for student programs such as Greek life, student government and campus programming.

Hart joined Coastal's staff in 2006 as special projects coordinator. She was dean of students at Converse College from 1995 to 2005, and she was assistant director of student organizations and leadership at the University of Alabama. Hart earned a bachelor's degree in secondary education in 1988 and a master's degree in counseling and guidance services in 1990, both from Clemson University.
