CCU hosts SBA loan workshop in Andrews

Coastal Carolina University's Small Business Development Center is sponsoring a free U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Community Express Loan workshop for entrepreneurs on Thursday, March 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. The workshop will be held at the Senior Citizens Building on 102 E. Main St. in Andrews.

The SBA Community Express Loan Program provides funding for working capital needs. The application process is quick and requires no collateral. Start-ups are acceptable, and most businesses are eligible. Free technical assistance is also provided.

If approved, loans are between $5,000 and $50,000 for 10-year terms, with no prepayment penalty. Loan approval is based on an evaluation of the applicant's personal credit report, gross income or projected income, length of time in business and the nature of the business.

Attendees to the workshop should bring: business checkbook; driver's license; federal tax ID for corporation, partnership or LLC; green card if applicable.
