Coastal Carolina University will present a Chamber Recital on Thursday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Wall Auditorium. The event is sponsored by CCU's Department of Music and will feature student ensembles within the department. The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required.

The term "chamber music" refers to a smaller number of performers as well as performance in a smaller setting or venue. In this recital, the department is showcasing some of the smaller chamber groups that have been formed from the larger ensembles. Participating ensembles include, but are not limited to, the flute choir, the chamber choir, chamber strings, the clarinet choir and the guitar ensemble.

The ensembles are led by Coastal's music faculty.

Tickets may be picked up at the Wheelwright Box Office or prior to the concert. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 349-2502.
