Comedian Marshall Brandon to entertain Coastal's campus

Comedian Marshall Brandon will entertain the Coastal Carolina University campus on Wednesday, April 23 at 7 p.m. in the Wall Auditorium. The performance is free and open to the public. The event is not recommended for children.

A native of Hartford, Conn., Brandon earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Western Connecticut State University in 1999. He won first place in Connecticut Public Television's annual Connecticut Comedy Festival, which features the best new comics from New England, earning the title of "Funniest Person in Connecticut." Brandon also received an Emmy nomination from the Boston/New England chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Brandon has appeared on BET's "Comic View," and portions of his routine are shown frequently during the off-season on "Classic Comicview," the "Comedy Connection," the "Hu Ke Lau," "Comic Strip Live" and Radio Caroline.

Brandon has most recently performed in England, Germany, Holland, Barbados and the Dominican Republic.
