Second Stage Season at Coastal Carolina University will perform the comedy, "Fat Pig" nightly at 7:30 p.m. beginning Wednesday, April 23 through Saturday, April 26 in the Edwards Black Box Theater. There will be a 3 p.m. performance on Saturday, April 26. The play is free and open to the public, but tickets are required.

Written by Neil LaBute, "Fat Pig" is a romantic comedy that takes place in a modern society where everyone is obsessed with physical beauty. A man named Tom feels a magnetic attraction toward a bright, witty and overweight lady, Helen. When his friends and coworkers do not approve Tom's new love interest, they become devoted to saving him from making a mistake.

Victoria Keller-Settin, a CCU senior dramatic arts major from West Lafayette, Ind., directs the play. The cast and crew include Wendell Lambert, Brittany Kelly, Hannah Barton, Brian Dunlop, Caroline Davis, Rebecca Henegar, Colin Rodgers, Trey Pittman and Meghan McCormick.

CCU Counseling Services Center will operate an information booth before and after performances offering information about health and self-esteem issues.
