Retiring CCU faculty and staff honored at reception

Coastal Carolina University honored 22 retiring faculty and staff members at a recent reception and dinner in Brooks Stadium Hospitality Suite.

The following faculty and staff members have retired or will retire after spring semester 2008:

- Richard Collin, Palmetto professor of politics and geography

- James Farsolas, professor of history

- Doug Nelson, professor of marine science

- Richard Moore, assistant vice president of Grants & Sponsored Research

- Nancy Goettel, assistant professor of computer science

- Deborah Vrooman, interim director of graduate studies

- Colleen Lohr, associate provost, Administration & Academic Services

- Pat Taylor, Spadoni College of Education

- Delores Hoffman, Department of Public Safety, dispatcher

- Tommy Holt, Facilities Planning & Management

- Robert Lundgren, Grants & Sponsored Research, senior accountant

- Shirell Mishoe, University Academic Center
