Enrollment event director named at Coastal Carolina University

Amanda Craddock has been named director of enrollment events in the Office of Admissions at Coastal Carolina University.

Her duties include planning and implementing freshman and transfer orientation, developing and overseeing enrollment events, and assisting with the recruitment and enrollment of new students.

Craddock was previously the senior assistant dean of admissions at the University of Mary Washington (UMW) in Fredericksburg, Va. She earned a bachelor's degree in history from UMW and a master's degree in education from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

In December 2007, Craddock was named the president-elect of the Virginia Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (VACRAO), a position she held until May.

She was named the Distinguished Young Professional for the VACRAO organization in 2003 and received the Ockerman Award of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) for her work with VACRAO.
