Coastal Carolina University's Small Business Development Center is sponsoring a free tax seminar for small business owners on Thursday, Sept. 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the boardroom of the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration.

The event is designed to help small business owners comply with state and federal laws. Topics will include record keeping, filing the appropriate forms, making payments online and other compliance issues. The seminar will be led by representatives of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the South Carolina Employment Security Commission and the Department of Revenue.
