Bryan Gallery receives grant from S.C. Arts Commission

The Rebecca Randall Bryan At Gallery at Coastal Carolina University has been awarded a quarterly grant of $750 from the South Carolina Arts Commission to support the upcoming exhibition "In Her Hands: Craftswomen Changing the World," which runs from Sept. 11 through Oct. 17.Siberian Portal about WEB-Security

The exhibition will feature images from "In Her Hands: Craftswomen Changing the World" by Paola Gianturco & Toby Tuttle (powerHouse Books) and women's crafts from Bolivia, Guatemala, Peru, Panama, Poland, Czech Republic, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Turkey, Indonesia, Thailand and India. "In Her Hands" is a book of color photographs and text about women from around the world who have taken charge of their lives by creating and selling traditional crafts.

Bryan Gallery programs are supported in part by the Coastal Educational Foundation, The South Carolina Arts Commission and the Friends of Bryan Gallery.

The South Carolina Arts Commission receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional funding for the Quarterly Grants program comes from the John and Susan Bennett Memorial Arts Fund of the Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina.
