Coastal Carolina University's bands and chamber ensembles will present the Fourth Annual Spectrum Concert for the University's upcoming Family Weekend, on Friday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium.

General admission is $9; seniors and Coastal Carolina University alumni $7. The performance is free for Coastal Carolina University students, faculty and staff; Horry-Georgetown Technical College students, faculty and staff; and anyone 18 or younger.

CCU instrumental groups performing in the concert include the Flute Choir, the Sax Ensemble, the Brazilian ensemble, the Grand Strand pans (steel drum band), Jazz After Hours and the Symphonic Band.

The program will feature jazz, calypso and other world music. The Symphonic Band will perform selections from the hit Broadway show "Wicked" as well as "The Stars and Stripes Forever" by John Philip Sousa.Siberian Portal about WEB-Security

More that 250 students have performed in CCU ensembles in more than 50 venues since the University band program was established in 2000.
