WELFARE REFORM TOPIC OF DISCUSSION MARCH 29

Marilyn Edelhoch, director of research and evaluation at the South Carolina Department of Social Services, will speak about welfare reform on Thursday, March 29 at 7 p.m. in the Wall Auditorium at Coastal Carolina University. The event is free and open to the public.

Edelhoch’s talk, titled “South Carolina Welfare Leavers: Studies on the Highest, the Lowest, and No Wage Earners,” will focus on why some individuals remain on welfare and others leave the system.

The event is sponsored by Coastal’s chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, the international sociology honor society.
