Coastal Carolina University's annual CINO Day (Coastal is Number One) is set for Friday, April 17 from noon to 4 p.m. on Prince Lawn. The event is open to all University students, faculty and staff, and all activities are free.
CINO Day is a campus tradition, offering students a day of outdoor entertainment before end-of-semester final exams. Media are invited to cover the event.
Activities include an obstacle course, Slip 'n' Slide, rock climbing, a surf simulator and carnival games. There will also be food and live entertainment.
The new online student-run radio station, WCCU.com, will provide music and will celebrate the launch of the University's first ever Internet station. A ribbon-cutting will be held at noon with student radio deejays and free T-shirts for students.
The Spring 2009 edition of Archarios, the student-produced literary arts magazine, will be distributed at the event.
