National Run@Work Day set for Sept. 18
The event, hosted by the University's School of Health, Kinesiology and Sport Studies, is free and open to the public.
The run is a nationwide community-based activity created to raise awareness about the importance of daily physical activity for adults. Started in 2006, the event was designed to give individuals the opportunity to incorporate at least 30 minutes of exercise into their daily routine either before work or during lunch. Successful Run@Work Day events have been held around the country.
Heart rate monitors and pedometers will be available for use, and exercise consultants will attend the event. Healthy snacks, water and door prizes will also be provided at both events.
