Coastal Carolina University presented its annual Staff Excellence Awards to Regis Minerd and Kim Montague for their exceptional service as university employees.

Minerd, a Coastal staff member since 1991, received the 2000-2001 Staff Excellence Award for Support Staff. He is media resources specialist in the Office of Media Services.

Montague, a Coastal staff member since 1987, received the 2000- 2001 Staff Excellence Award for Professional Staff. He is director of the Office of Residence Life.

The purpose of the awards is to honor employees who consistently perform at a high level of professionalism and whose work demonstrates exceptional dedication to the institution.
