Kimbel Library at Coastal Carolina University will celebrate National Gaming Day from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14. The event is open to University students, faculty and staff.
The library will be providing Wii games on two large projection screens, card games and board games including Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly and a giant crossword puzzle. There will be drawings for door prizes including $10 gift cards to Java City. The library will also be providing refreshments. Players are invited to bring their own personal favorite video and board games as well.
This event was formed by the American Library Association to remind library users that there is more to libraries than just books. The event is an opportunity to learn more about Kimbel Library and to see why it has become a popular gathering place for students.
