Jazz After Hours concert at Coastal Carolina University
General admission is $9; alumni, senior citizens (65+) and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute member admission is $7; teens (11 to 17) are $3; and children are admitted free but must be accompanied by an adult.
The concert will feature music performed in the big band style. The works will range from traditional swing and ballad numbers to exciting Latin arrangements. Music from the swing era, as well as new arrangements of classical songs, will be presented.
The Jazz After Hours band, directed by instructor of music, Dan O’Reilly, is the University’s popular big band. The repertoire of this group covers musical styles from the 1940s to the present, and includes guest soloists and artists.
