Coastal Carolina University’s dance company performs ‘A Christmas to Remember’

Coastal Carolina University Department of Theatre's very first dance company will perform “A Christmas to Remember” at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3 and Friday, Dec. 4 in the Black Box Theatre of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts.

The show will include singing, comedy routines and different types of dance, including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, swing and hip-hop.

“A Christmas to Remember” takes audiences on a journey through a 1940s New Year's Eve USO Dance, an old fashioned "Christmas in the Country,” a “White Christmas,” and Christmas through the eyes of a child with elves and toys of Santa's Toyshop.

Barbara Dare Hartwig, who teaches dance and choreography at the university, directs the production.
