CCU voice students to give spring concert

Coastal Carolina University voice students of professor Patti Edwards, associate professor of music, will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 19 in the Recital Hall of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts. General admission is $3; children 10 and under are admitted free, but must be accompanied by an adult.

The students will perform songs from the classical, folk, sacred and musical theatre genres. Selections will range from the sacred “Panis Angelicus,” composed by César Franck with a text by Saint Thomas Aquanis, to the popular “Mercy on Me” by Christina Aguilera.

Student performers include Brittany Moore, Edith Matthews, Erin Dooley, Ashley Fernandez, Caroline Polley, Nicole Mellix, Jonee Goodwin, Megan Parker, Erin “Pinky” Toman, Eric Hnatko, Kimberlee Ward, Megan Neff and Calvin Forbes.

They will be accompanied on piano by Mark Bernazzoli, Pat Downes and Andy Fowler, University faculty accompanists.
