Summer swimming lessons offered at CCU
CCU will offer five levels in the Learn-to-Swim program as well as introduce two new classes for preschool ages 3-5.
Participation fee is $45; $35 for CCU faculty, staff and students; and a $5 discount per child for additional registrations for the same family. Registration will be conducted at the front desk in the Campus Recreation Center or by mail.
Day sessions will be offered June 14 through June 24 and July 12 through July 22. Evening sessions will be offered from June 7 through June 17, June 21 through July 1, and July 12 through July 22. Participants must pass prerequisites or have achieved an appropriate level before entering lessons. Skill testing is available by calling 843-349-2815.
Lessons will be taught by CCU students who are trained water safety instructors, and the indoor regulation-size pool at the University's Williams-Brice Recreation Center will be used for the lessons.
CCU also offers a junior swim team, lifeguard training, water safety instruction training and private swim lessons.
