Duct tape fashion show to be held at CCU
The exhibit will include some 200 works of art from a variety of media created by area middle and high school students during their 14-day residential stay at CCU. The exhibit will feature 13 Hollywood costumes, made solely of duct tape, based on movies or movie characters. The students, ages 13 to 17, worked in collaborative teams of three to make the duct tape costumes. One member of each team will model for the fashion show.
The Summer Arts Academy is a residential program allowing area students to participate in art classes including glass mosaic, stop motion animation, tribal beading and dynamic figures. Students participate in off-campus activities as well, including making sand sculptures at Myrtle Beach State Park.
The gallery is located in the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts on campus.
