2001-2002 STUDENT LEADERS SELECTED

Coastal Carolina University students have been elected or appointed to leadership positions in student government, student media and other student organizations for the 2001-2002 academic year.

The following students have been elected to Coastal's Student Government Association (SGA):

- Eric Sauthoff, senior secondary education major of Surfside Beach - SGA president - Brian Nunez, junior biology major of Clarendon Hills, Ill. - SGA vice president. - Jennifer Overholt, junior marine science major of Philadelphia, Pa. - SGA secretary - Devra Blanden, senior marine science major of Myrtle Beach - SGA treasurer

The following students have been named editors of Coastal's student publications:

- Rebecca Parker, senior marine science major of Franklin, Tenn. - editor of The Chanticleer, Coastal's student newspaper - Dianne Sprinkle, freshman arts major of Herndon, Va. - assistant editor of The Chanticleer - Shamara Steele, senior biology major of Conway - business manager of The Chanticleer - Kayatta Scott, senior secondary education major of Conway - editor of Archarios, the student art and literary magazine - Thomas Morrell, junior art major of Newton, N.J. - art director of Archarios - Michael Slattery, senior marine science major of Charleston - editor of Tempo, the student feature magazine - Aaron Beck, junior marine science major of Huntington, W.Va. - assistant editor of Tempo

The following students have been appointed to the Coastal Productions Board, which sponsors on-campus activities and events for students:

The following students have been appointed to Coastal's S.T.A.R. (Students Taking Active Responsibility) organization:
