CCU Presents Charity Water benefit concert

Coastal Carolina University will present the third annual Charity Water benefit concert at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10 in Wheelwright Auditorium.

Charity Water, founded in 2004, is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to bring clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries.

The concert will feature several solo, duet and other combos of student musicians performing such works as, “Solar” by Miles Davis, “Prayer” from Hansel and Gretel by Engelbert Humperdink, “Don’t Give Up” by Karlton Wallace, and many others.

The event is hosted by the First Year Experience (FYE) class of Richard L. Johnson, DMA, professor of music at CCU. Members of the class include Lucas Arambula, Courtney Cappel, Brandon Douglas, Robbie Gainey, Kali Hatosy, Casey Hawkins, Maria Hernandez, Emily Hartel, Taylor Mathews, Christopher Morgan, Terrance Piette, Riley Randell, Olivia Rose, Brian Sanyshyn, Jason Tompkins, Karlton Wallace, Teddy Washington and Jack Wilson.

Admission is $5 and donations will be accepted at the door.
