The overall structure of Coastal Carolina University's Web site www.coastal.edu has been redesigned to provide visitors an easy to navigate and attractive site.

The redesigned site, which was a joint effort by Coastal's Office of Information Technology Services and Office of Marketing Communications, offers several new features, according to Vivian Ford, associate director for Academic Support Services at Coastal.

- The front-page feature, Coastal Now, offers a look at the latest news and events taking place at Coastal.

- The Office of Admissions page offers comprehensive information for prospective students, who may apply for admission to Coastal online or request more information through the site.

- An interactive site for the Office of Student Services contains current job opportunities, resume building tools and a listing of services available to students.

- A map feature allows individuals to obtain driving directions to Coastal while a site search will help site users find the information they need quickly and easily.

According to Ford, Coastal's Web site will continue to be upgraded and improved over the next several months.
