CCU announces new interim dean of Spadoni College

Edward Jadallah, Ph.D., associate professor and chair of Coastal Carolina University’s Department of Leadership, Middle Level and MAT – Secondary Education, has been named interim dean of the Spadoni College of Education.

Before becoming a CCU faculty member in Fall 2010, Jadallah served as chair of the Teacher Education Faculty and served as cooperating faculty in the School of Policy and International Affairs at the University of Maine. At UMaine, Jadallah founded a Ph.D. program in curriculum and instruction and developed a Global Education Institute and Study Tour for pre-service and in-service teachers as part of a collaborative grant with Zayed University in the United Arab Emirates; and developing a Global Education Institute and Study Tour for pre-service and in-service teachers.

Jadallah has 26 years of postsecondary teaching and administrative experience, specializing in curriculum design and evaluation, social studies education and global studies. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history and psychology (dual major) from Malone College in Canton, Ohio; a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Bowling Green State University; and a Ph.D. in teacher education and social studies education from Ohio State University in Columbus.
